We, the members and allies of Black Lives Matter Grassroots East Atlanta DeKalb, are dedicated to ending state-sanctioned violence and building a world where Black lives are treated with dignity, safety, and freedom. Our work centers the experiences, leadership, and power of Black communities in East Atlanta and DeKalb County. We believe in abolitionist principles that move us toward a future free from police violence, mass incarceration, and systemic oppression. Through mentorship, education, and leadership development, we uplift and empower inner-city youth—creating pathways toward justice, healing, and self-determination. To build power and advance justice by centering Black leadership and transforming systems that perpetuate harm. Our Vision A world where Black communities are free, safe, and thriving. A world where justice is restorative, not punitive. A world where joy, creativity, and care are at the heart of our collective liberation.
